7 Makeup Trends you should try in 2020

Updated: Feb 19, 2020

Below are some Makeup trends that I have researched online that I would like to encourage you to try in 2020.

Dewy, healthy-looking skin

Glowing skin is still the way to go in 2020. It's all about moisture, hydration in the skin. How do you achieve that? Use a hydrating moisturiser daily like the Clinique Moisture surge 72-hours auto-replenishing hydrator. Follow by a hydrating primer from Tarte, (Base tape hydrating primer). Check out Mongabong tutorial where she use the Tarte Base tape hydrating primer.

Structured Eye Brows

Gone were the days of unkempt brows which has been popular for the past few years. Structured eye brows are back. If you are blessed with bushy brows, simply keep it in place with clear brow gel. If you have went through the era of over-plucked and arch brows and they doesn't seem to have grown back, it's time to learn how to draw your brows with the right brows products.

Glitters & Sparkles

Glittery eyes were seen at major Spring/Summer runways and we can't get enough of it. Add-on some glitter to your daily makeup or an extra glam to your girls night out party. My all time favourite is Stila Glitter & Glow liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma.

Red Smokey Eyes

Smokey Eyes don't need to be only in black. It can comes in many colours and the colour to try in 2020 is RED. Try it with Pat McGrawth Labs Mothership Palette.

Classic Blue

This is the Pantone Colour of the year. How should we incorporate that to our makeup? Try using it as a pop of colour as a winged liner, mascara and eyeshadow. Check out my makeup tutorial on creating a smokey classic blue eye makeup look that you can try. I love this classic blue eyeshadow palette from Huda Beauty which is a Must-buy palette for 2020. It contains the classic blues and a pop of neon yellow that is also a trend to try this year.

Pop of Neon

Try a pop of Neon yellow or orange in the inner corner of your eyes. Level up the Neon with a Neon Pink or Orange Lips. Try Huda Beauty Neon eyeshadow palette to stay on top of your neon obsessions.

Subtle Lip Stain

Also know as the Korean Gradient lips is here to stay for a while. As seen on the latest Chanel Spring Summer 2020 show, Lipstick application will not be boring with an ombre lips where colour slowly fade off. The trick is to dab, dab, dab....
